Bacteria source tracking review and Bees, Beekeeping, and Swarm Management presentations at July 21 general membership meeting

Little Lagoon Preservation Society members and the public are invited to the LLPS quarterly meeting to learn about the latest area bacteria source tracking results by Dr. Brian Burnes (UWA).  Brian is vacationing in Scotland and Dennis Hatfield (LLPS VP) will present his data analysis.  Becka Hargraves, President, Baldwin County Bee Keepers Association, will enlighten us about bees, beekeeping and swarm management.  After Dennis Hatfield had 50,000+ bee's move in with him, he thought it would be good education and a nice change from our usual guest speakers.

LLPS will meet Thursday, July 21st at 5:30 p.m. at the Adult Activity Center. The first half hour of the meeting provides an opportunity to mingle and enjoy refreshments. The program begins at 6, and will include a question-and-answer period. The public is invited.

Other agenda items:

          1) Dredging trigger issued at Lagoon Pass

          2) LLPS Restoration project brainstorm

          3) 6 month algal bloom subsided, conditions still ripe for more blooms
